Winter Wonderland

We woke up Friday morning to snow and ice. Reed was so very interested in it. He stood at the window and watched it fall. Then daddy bundled him up and took him out to play. Matt and Yvette were in town from Fort Worth. When they came to visit last March we also had inches of snow. We had a fun weekend even though the weather was not the best. Yvette and I tried to shop but most stores were closed. Bummer! We were lucky and never lost power or any tree branches, unlike many neighbors and friends. So any who here are a few pics of the ice and snow. Smiles,Katie

To the zoo we go...

The weather has warmed back up to normal winter temps here and it was really nice on Monday. It was in the 60's and the sun was shinning it was a great day, so we met some friends there. Reed had a great time looking at the animals. I grabbed a couple of pics. Smiles,Katie

18 Months, Wow Wee!

Reed turned 18 months on the 5th, but he just went this past Friday for his check up. SOOO here I am back in the blogging world to give you an update on the main man. He weighed 22 lbs. HIs height, weight and head all hang around the 25%. His gross and fine motor skills are right on track. His communication skills are coming along. He recently started doing a lot more talking and signing.
Words he says: Dada,Daisy, train, truck, sock, tah dah, no, bye-bye, mama, nana, Nana
Words he signs: Please, milk, bird, fish, more, all done,
He Loves: playing trains, cars and trucks, looking at books, playing ball with Hemi, climbing on people and furniture, still loves music and is quite the dancer these days.
Loves to watch: yo Gabba Gabba, Handy Maney, Wonder Pets, Mickey Mouse Club house
Loves to eat: Chicken nuggets, Peas, green beans, mac and cheese, string cheese, ANY FRUIT, Goldfish crackers, Nutragrain bars
New things he is doing: Finally smiling for the camera some, being shy, playing with more kidos, climbing the stairs and coming down them better.

So there is the wrap up of Reed these days. Enjoy the pics. Some of which he smiled for on demand, too bad this wasn't happening last month for the Christmas cards.

Could his eyes be any bluer?

Christmas Day 2009

The stash that Santa left one very good little boy.
Reed more than loves his train table. Santa did well. Reed is very into trains right now and got a lot of fun train stuff this Chistmas. He can "traaaaaain" but still no "mama".

He also got this nifty bus with balls in in. He loves to crawl in and out.

"Wow, PJS I am soooo excited" ( but what you don't see is that they have a train on the front of them.

"Really mom, is this a must?"

After we finished Christmas at our little casa, we headed to my mom and dad's for lunch and more gifts. Then Reed took a nap while the grown ups played. It was way fun and lets just say that I rock at Rock Band. Watch out American Idol!
