How I deck my halls...

Welcome, Many of you fellow family and friends have asked about our Christmas decorations so here is the short rundown on the decor this year. I have asked Nick if we can leave it up all year???? I am sure you can guess the answer.

This is Nick and I's memory wreath. All the ornaments on it have a special meaning and memory. Most of them are from trips we have taken. But you will also see pets, and hobbies, and pregnancy ones too.

This is another tradition I started last year with Reed. I make something out of his hands or foot prints. Last year we made this reindeer. This year we made ? I can't tell bc they are gifts for Grandmas. I am sure when he is 18 and I am making him to hand print art with me it won't go over as well as this year.

My big tree. It is real and has a candy theme. I received the very fun train around the bottom as a birthday gift this year. Reed and I love it.

The mantel has extra jumbo pieces of candy on it and lots of fun ribbon with the greenery.

I made us all new stockings this year. Love them.

This is Reed's memory wreath. It doesn't have as much as Nick and I's does, but he has some special ornaments on there. One dinosaur straight from Washington D.C.s Smithsonian .

Reed has a little tree in his playroom. It has penguins and snowmen along with blue balls.

One of my fav Christmas things is the CARDS! This year in the new house we have a fab staircase that screamed tap cards to me this year. So I did. It is so fun to walk by and see all of our friends and family.

Oh and don't forget the elf on the shelf. He is watching and reporting to Santa. If you don't have one of these and you have a kido, you better go out and get one right now for next year.
I hope you enjoyed the tour! Smiles,Katie

Run Daddy Run!

Last weekend Nick ran the St. Jude Marathon. We were soooooo very proud of him. His dad, "Grandpa" came in to see him run and be his go to gut during the race. Reed and I joined in towards the end of his 26 miles. (bc I knew someone would not be able to hang out for 4 hrs). SO here are some pics. Nick was one tired guy but did a great job and finished in 4:29. What a stud muffin!

Sleep Over

This past week I spent about 36 hours with two, two year old little boys in my casa. Parker who is Reed's best buddy spent the day and night with us while his mommy Jamie had his new baby brother. Here are some pics of the boys.
Sharing a chair-this turned into a wrestling match on the chair.

Snack and a cartoon.

We headed outside to check out the Christmas lights and the blow up tractor.

When we came back in Parker had a message on my phone with a pic of his new baby brother.

The next day Reed and I headed up to get our hands on the baby. Yummy!

Playing in the horizontal position

Reed enjoys playing laying down a lot these days. I think it provides him the best view of the tractor or truck that he is playing with. It cracks me up, especially in the sand box.

Halloween '10

We had a great Halloween. Nana came in from TX to spend it with us, and we also had Uncle Will and LeeAnn with us for a day. Reed carved pumpkins and went trick or treating. He thought he WAS the dinosaur.

Story Time

We went to Story Time at the Collierville Library on Thursday. We go ever so often; Reed and I always enjoy it. Well this week was a little different because the kidos could wear their costumes. Reed was soooo funny. He was sure that he WAS a dinosaur. He was so into the fact that his best buddy Parker was a Tiger. They roared at each other, too funny. When it was time to read Reed was a little wound up. But finally sat and listened followed by some singing and dancing. Fun day!

Pumpkin Patch

We went to Cedar Hill farm this week while Nick was on Fall Break. We had a great time, but did get rained on a bit. Enjoy!

Reed loves to play with the tractors in their giant sand box area. If you remember he spent most of his birthday party in there.

He was so very excited to see the Christmas trees too.
