Reed is three weeks old! He had lots of exciting milestones this week. He went to his 1st birthday party, had his first bottle, and is noticing his mobiles. We also shared some books together, he really enjoyed them. He also decided that he really likes his vibrating chair now, not so much a couple of weeks ago. He is such an easy, happy baby so far. (knock on wood). Smiles,Katie

What we did today

Today Reed had a visit from his buddy Briley. Briley is a bit older but one of Reed's number 1 friends. Briley wanted to hold him so badly. He would sit sooo still (which is rare) and look into Reed's little face and Reed returned the stare. It was so very sweet. Shannon and Briley hung out with us for a while. It was nice to see people. Reed also spent some quality cuddling time with Daddy this evening. Daddy had oral surgery today and needed some baby loving to help him feel better. Enjoy the pictures.

Reed is 2 Weeks Old

Reed turned 2 weeks old on Sat. What a big boy! He went to the Dr. today and Dr. Higginbotham says he looks great. He weighed 6.6 lb. and was 18.5 inches long. He also said that his broken clavicle has healed really well, and he almost can't even tell it was broken. He doesn't go back until he is 2 months old. Can you believe that they trust me with him for 2 months before they look him over again? I keep waiting for his real mommy or daddy to come get him. It just doesn't seem real that he is all mine. Fun Visitor

Reed had a fun visitor yesterday. One of my most vibrant students from last year, Greer came to visit. She was madly in love with him when he was still in my belly. She talked to him daily at school and left him with a kiss on my belly every afternoon on her way out of class. She brought her crazy little sister with her,Miller. Another exciting event was Reed wearing his first Aggie gear. Gig'em Aggies!!!

Reed's Photo Session

Reed had his first prof. pictures taken today. I wanted to remember him so tiny, b/c I know he will not stay this way for long. I found a wonderful photographer on the internet, and am stunned by her work. she has posted two pictures from today on her blog. The rest of the pictures will be available later this week, so I will let you know that sight then. Enjoy the ones that are there. 1 Week Old

Reed is one week old today. I can't believe it. And guess who was up at 12:29 am to celebrate? Yep that would be me and the little man. He had a great day of surfing the internet, swinging, and sleeping. And oh yeah EATING.

We are Home!

We came home on Tuesday evening. Reed was so excited about coming home that he couldn't even stay awake. He is enjoying the company of his Nana and Poppy. As we are enjoying their help. Nana is queen of poop. Reed went to the doctor today and he is weighing 5.11 lbs. which is great b/c he has gained since we have come home. The doctor also sad that his broken clavicle is healing well. He has to go back when he 2 weeks old. I am still a bit sore. I can keep moving as long as I don't miss a dosage of my little happy pills. Each day is a bit better. Enjoy the pictures. Smiles,Katie

Little Man!

Mommy here! Daddy posted yesterday. Reed is here and we adore him. He came Sat. morning at 12:29 am. after a quick emergency c-section. He weighed 6 lbs. and is 19.5 inches long. Here are some pictures of the angel. We will probably go home on Tues. or Wed. Thank you to all that have sent well wishes through out my pregnancy and the birth of our son.
